WHO AT COWBRIDGE!

Fans of Doctor Who can meet two leading authorities on the BBC TV show at an event hosted by the Cowbridge Book Festival on 25th September. Alastair Reynolds, author of the BBC’s Doctor Who: Harvest of Time and Andy Frankham-Allen, author of Companions: Fifty Years of Doctor Who Assistants and will both be there to discuss writing, the long running popular sci-fi series and sign copies of their books.

Alastair Reynolds is one of the world's most renowned science fiction writers. Having won the British Science Fiction Award for his book Chasm City in 2001, the Doctor Who legacy was in more than capable hands when he turned his pen to Doctor Who. Harvest of Time transports readers back to the Jon Pertwee era, with UNIT, Jo, the Brigadiers and the Master in full attendance. The story centres on the Sild as they escape confinement and threaten to rewrite history.

Andy Frankham-Allen has been a Doctor Who fan since his childhood and has relished the opportunity to write Companions in celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the series. The book follows the narrative of the series as seen through the eyes of the Doctor's ever-faithful companions and features a foreword by Gary Russell.

Both authors will be discussing the show with the Comic Guru's Kristian Barry. There will also be a charity raffle, where attendees will be able to win merchandise covering each Doctor (supplied by Candy Jar Books & The Comic Guru). These include signed Katy Manning and Deborah Watling photos, a copy of the Paul McGann TV Movie, Big Finish audios and comics, as well as signed copies of Companions: Fifty Years of Doctor Who Assistants. KANGAZANG 2: STAR STUFF EXCLUSIVE SIGNING AT COMIC GURU CARDIFF!

Kangazang! author Terry Cooper will be making an appearance at the legendary Comic Guru in Cardiff on the 24th March 2012 for an exclusive signing of the much-anticipated sequel, Kangazang!: Star Stuff.

Kangazang!: Star Stuff is a continuation of Jeff Spooner's travels through space with his alien barber Ray. After saving the Universe, their adventures are kicked off once again as Ray's father goes missing (and insane) and Jeff's girlfriend (an android) runs off to find him the child he always wanted.

Terry will be in store signing all Kangazang merchandise and there will be no less than forty exclusive preview copies of the book left to sign, so don't wait to get in and grab your stuff! We're excited to be teaming up with The Comic Guru - Cardiff's premier comic book store (and the UK's greatest online comic retailer, no less!) who have been a terrific supporter of all things Kangazang!

KANGAZANG! BOUNCES INTO SPRING WITH A FANTASTIC SALE!

Candy Jar Books have announced their spring sale. The four disc Kangazang! CD has been slashed from £15.99 to £7.99, with the book dropping from £9.99 to £5.99*.

Colin Baker narrates the story about Earthling Jeff Spooner and his alien barber, Ray Scump, as they search for the fabled Universal Remote Control – avoiding danger, doom and embarrassing situations as they go. Kangazang! – a triple CD disc set, with a bonus DVD – was actually produced in the same building where the Doctor Who episode Blink, and the new series of Torchwood, was filmed.

THE MEN IN BLACK RECRUIT MATT DOMAN IN SARAH JANE

Candy Jar actor Matt Doman has appeared in the latest episode of Doctor Who spin-off series Sarah Jane Adventures.

Portraying one of the mysterious Men in Black, Matt is seen hunting the alien Androvax - much to the annoyance of Sarah and her co-investigators.

This is yet another of Matt's many appearances in the Doctor Who franchise - well done, Matt!

COLIN BAKER KANGAZANG! SIGNING IN CARDIFF

Candy Jar is proud to announce that Colin Baker (the 6th Doctor from BBC's Doctor Who) will be visiting the Forbidden Planet International store in Cardiff this month.

He will be signing copies of Candy Jar's latest product - Kangazang! - as well as his own portrait photos.

You will be able to meet the much-loved actor at 10am on Saturday the 25th September 2010.
