Calling all music fans from the North-East

Teesside-born writer Christian Cawley is collecting unique stories, memories and reminiscences about the north-east 1950's music scene in research for his latest and upcoming book Northern Rock.

Christian says: "You might have played with Paul Rodgers, or styled David Doverdale's hair. Perhaps your uncle was in The Shadows, or you roadied for Geordie. Did you get drunk with Lindisfarne, or foolishly set your hat on fire in honour of Arthur Brown?"

Your stories might be just as outlandish, or even a little more conventional. Christian is keen to hear from as many people as he can from all walks of life and with a wide range of experiences. Id you were there in the midst of the north-east music industry and have a story - any story - we want to hear from you!
